PVSC has many volunteers that have helped make this happen along with some amazing contractors that work behind the scenes. While it may seem like it's taking a long time, PVSC wants to ensure that the updates are done correctly and efficiently for use long term for our families and players.
Turf has been installed and the office spaces have been updated! We are looking for contractors that would like to take part in the completion of the firewall and some other miscellaneous tasks so that we can get the doors open!
If you, or someone you know, would like to donate your time to complete this amazing complex for our PVSC players, please fill out the form below and we will be in touch!
Thank you to all of the volunteers and contractors that have done the work thus far, we appreciate your efforts in making this the home of soccer!
We just wanted to inform our Coaches, Parents and Players that 'WE DID IT!'.
Last week at the Pocatello City Council Meeting, the final approval was given for PVSC to occupy the building at the Titan Center which will provide the club with its own 4 field indoor facility!
An official press release will be issued by the club soon outlining more details. What we can tell you is that we are on track for the facility to open this coming September!!
We are excited to bring this much needed asset to the soccer community further demonstrating that we are the ONLY club in Pocatello/Chubbuck that actively invests in the LONG TERM future of our young people. To play at PVSC means you're making positive change happen in our area! Thank you!
The Portneuf Valley Soccer Club (‘PVSC’) is pleased to announce plans to open an indoor sports complex that will include the following facilities;
Located in a 102,590 sq ft space in the Titan Center on 669 Quinn Road, Pocatello. The warehouse and office space will be converted into a state of the art indoor sports facility which will provide the 2000+ registered players and their families associated with the club a much needed space to practice indoors throughout the year.
Cristie Stone, President of PVSC stated, ‘We are extremely excited to make this announcement to our club members and community. The Board of Directors and our team have been working closely with our partners at IRG, the Wilsons at TOK Commercial and the City of Pocatello to make this project a reality. It is a joint effort and we are so grateful for their support and belief in our plans for the future’.
The projected timeline to open the facility will be subject to a zoning amendment to the use of the building which is currently in process with the City of Pocatello. It is hoped that this will be in place by the end of Q1 of this year.
Paul Baker, Vice Chairman of PVSC who has an extensive background in developing large projects, including the London 2012 Olympic Games and has been working behind the scenes with the club. He stated ‘The Eastern Idaho area is in desperate need of quality indoor facilities that can enhance our youth and children's ability to develop the right skills in order to compete with others across the state and country'.
PVSC is the second largest soccer club in Idaho and was one of the first in the state to be created. The club provides Youth Development and Competitive Programs and has enjoyed a great deal of success seeing players graduate to D1 and D2 Colleges. The Club hosts one of the largest sports tournaments in the region each year serving 140+ teams that travel from across the state and country to compete. The tournament contributes to a significant annual economic impact for the sports tourism industry.
A registered 501c3 charity, the club is dependent upon a large volunteer base to coach, run games and host events throughout the Spring and Fall seasons. With the new addition of an indoor facility the club hopes to attract other users from other sports who may be in need of a place to practice under roof throughout the year as well as improve the soccer provision and competitiveness of the club.
Cristie Stone said ‘We are always seeking out opportunities to gain an advantage over our competitors, This facility will allow us to do that, we plan to hire full time coaching staff and focus on areas such as performance analysis, health and well being, technical and tactical skills and provide a variety of in house courses and development programs for our coaching staff’.
Additional information will be released by the club as soon as it becomes available.
Dick's Sporting Goods discounts are available to allPVSC Players and families for gear and equipment.
