Soccer for U11(2008), U12(2007)and 13(2006)
The Year of Transition..soccer doesn't end or begin at U11, it just changes
In the fall of 2018, players will have the opportunity to continue their soccer playing in one of a couple of options. Both programs continue to work on player development and teaching of the game. The ultimate goal for PVSC is a smooth and seamless transition into either program.
Youth Development-Rec U11 2006 U12 2007
This program is a continuation of the Youth Development Program that starts at U4 and we combine the U11 and U12 ages together. Player development and opportunity are primary focuses. Players do not have to tryout, they are placed on teams allowing for fair play and continuation of teaching of the game. Coaches are volunteers and referees are working on licensing. There is a lower level of commitment, with games played on Saturdays at NOP Soccer Complex. The cost of this program is currently $80.00 with the uniform included.
Competitive- U11 2008 and U12 2007
This program is the first year of the competitive program, which continues through U18/19. Player development is the focus, with and increased level of play and competition. Players will tryout annually, and be placed on a team for fall and spring. There could be movement between teams based on player development and team needs. There is an increased level of commitment, which includes practices, games and travel. Participation in tournaments is also a component of this program, and many of the tournaments require Sunday play for registration and participation. If we have the numbers to create Non-Sunday teams that is an option. Coaches in the competitive program are licensed, or working to become licensed coaches. The cost of this program due to coach pay & stipend, referees, registration with the state, increased field costs, etc is currently $275, plus additional fees for tournaments and uniform. The uniform cost averages $125.00 and is typically used for two years (4 seasons) depending upon when in the uniform rotation it is purchased.
Competitive U13 2006
All players born in 2006 must attend tryouts in June if they want to play soccer in the spring for 2019. In the fall, there is the option of the middle school program which is available for 6th-9th grader who do not play in High School. The middle school program has two games per week and does require travel throughout Southeast Idaho. The cost is $130 and includes a uniform. You also have the option to play competitive in the fall but there are only two tournaments currently available, both requiring Sunday play. Players not wishing to play on Sunday may play middle school soccer. In the spring, there is no recreational or middle school option for players born in 2006, only competitive, which placement is determined from the June tryout. Depending on the number of players and the needs of those interested in playing we can create tournament teams that attend Sunday play tournaments, Non-Sunday teams or even club teams that do not attend anytournaments . Competitive registration costs vary from $275-$350, and tournament fees are additional. All of these options require the teams to travel throughout Southeast Idaho for games and a competitive uniform must be purchased.
